Rospotrebnadzor recommended shortening the working day amid intense heat

The prevailing hot weather leads to a deterioration in working conditions. In this regard, Rospotrebnadzor recommended shortening the working day for employees working outdoors or in rooms without air conditioning.

- If the temperature in a workplace without air conditioning reaches 28.5 degrees, it is recommended to shorten the working day by an hour; if it rises to 29 degrees, by 2 hours, and if the room heats up to 30.5 degrees, by 4 hours, - it says in the recommendation.

The ministry stressed that working conditions at temperatures above 32.5 degrees are dangerous and extreme. It is not recommended to carry out work in such conditions. It is especially not recommended to allow people under 25 and over 40 to work under such conditions.
