The decrease in supplies is attributed to the effect of EU sanctions, which came into force at the end of December 2024. The sanctions apply to almost the entire list of LPG, including butane, ethylene, propylene, butylene and butadiene. Prior to that, Europe was the main LPG market for the Russian Federation.
