Pork in the wholesale market has risen in price by 12-30% year on year

By July, the wholesale price of pork, depending on the part of the carcass, increased by 12-30% over the year. About this, with reference to the data, NTech transmits "Kommersant".

Thus, the price of pork half carcass in wholesale reached 215 rubles per 1 kg (+30% year-on-year), ham - 292 rubles (+19%), carbonade - 320 rubles (+12%). At the same time, pork neck fell in price by 5%, to 445 rubles.

Market participants attribute the price increase to increased demand for pork from processing enterprises. The decrease in neck prices is associated with a decrease in retail demand for it. This part of the carcass is most often bought for grilling, and the cold and rainy June chilled the barbecue lovers.
