The court found Pavel Baryshev, the former deputy head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, guilty of fraud on an especially large scale and forgery of evidence in a civil case. This is reported by the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

According to the investigation and the court, in 2017-2019 Baryshev provided forged documents about his right to housing, as a result of which he received a three-room apartment in the Moscow region, causing damage to the state on a particularly large scale.

The court sentenced him to three years in a penal colony and a fine of 200,000 rubles.
