Russia has sufficient coal reserves to maintain the current production level for 500-600 years, and, taking into account promising deposits, for a whole millennium. This was stated by Dmitry Islamov, State Secretary and Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, in an interview with TASS.
According to Islamov, the existing resource base guarantees stable coal production in Russia for half a millennium."Just to maintain current production levels, we have enough coal for another 500-600 years, and if we continue to explore, then there will definitely be enough reserves for 1,000 years ahead."&"," emphasized the Deputy Minister of Energy.
gt;Islamov refuted forecasts about the imminent disappearance of coal from the global energy mix. Despite the "green" agenda, coal will remain an important energy resource.
