In March 2025, the unemployment rate in Russia reached a record low of 2.3% according to the methodology of the International Labor Organization. This was confirmed by Deputy Prime Minister Tatiana Golikova in an interview with Expert magazine.

It is noteworthy that in February there was a slight increase in unemployment to 2.4%, but by March the situation had stabilized, returning to the minimum values of December 2024.

The authorities pay special attention to youth employment. A special program is being implemented to promote the employment of citizens under the age of 30, which has significantly reduced youth unemployment. In the age group of 15-29 years, the figure has more than doubled: from 10.7% in 2020 to 5.2% currently.
