In May, India received a record amount of Russian oil over the past ten months. Most of the supplies came through eastern ports, as logistics chains are recovering from massive US sanctions.

According to the Kpler analytical company, this month India purchased 1.98 million barrels of oil per day from OPEC+, a significant part of which is Russian Urals crude.

The volume of crude oil shipments from eastern ports, including ESPO, averaged 225,000 barrels per day in May. If the trend continues, this indicator may grow by 60% in June, as predicted by Kpler data. Ten shipments of ESPO are currently scheduled for India, which is close to the historical maximum.
