On the night of May 7, threats of terrorist attacks were prevented in Moscow near the Kremlin and Red Square. According to presidential aide Yuri Ushakov, Vladimir Putin told Donald Trump about this during a telephone conversation the day before. 

The details of what happened are not given.

- Putin, in a conversation with Trump, indicated that those who honor the Nazis were trying to intimidate the leaders who came on May 9, Ushakov said.
