The Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, together with manufacturers of unmanned vehicles and other interested departments, plans to submit a bill on unmanned vehicles by the end of 2025, the ministry said.
As part of the experiment, 67 self-driving cars that have traveled more than 9 million kilometers are already operating on the M-11 and TSKAD highways. Based on this experience, a draft law is being developed for the permanent use of unmanned vehicles.
The document will classify self-driving cars by levels of autonomy and define the rights and obligations of manufacturers. Management requirements will also be specified. In addition, a new monitoring center will be created on the basis of GLONASS JSC. He will be able to remotely stop cars in case of illegal interference in the system.
