In April, Russian banks issued 1.09 million new credit cards. Their number decreased by 52.9% year-on-year. This is reported by TASS with reference to data from the National Bureau of Credit Histories.

Compared to the previous month, the issuance of new credit cards decreased by 1.7%. The amount of limits on new credit cards has also decreased. Compared to March, the indicator decreased by 3.5%, to 107.7 billion rubles, and in annual terms - by 59.1%.> In April, the largest number of new credit cards were issued in Moscow (83.8 thousand), the Moscow Region (67.8 thousand), the Krasnodar Territory (52.9 thousand), St. Petersburg (47.7 thousand) and Bashkortostan (35.7 thousand).
