Mortgage issuance in Russia has decreased by 48% since the beginning of the year

From the beginning of 2025 to May 7, mortgage issuance in Russia decreased by 48% in number and 41% in amount. According to DOM.In the Russian Federation, 224,000 loans totaling 949 billion rubles were issued during this period.

According to preliminary estimates, 73,000 mortgages were issued in April, which is 41% less than last year and 36% lower in the amount of 298 billion rubles.

From May 1 to May 7, 9 thousand loans were issued, which is 45% less than in the same period last year and 38% less than 40 billion rubles in monetary terms.

In May, the share of DOM Bank.The Russian Federation accounted for 2.5% of the total number of loans granted, which is 1.2 percentage points less than last year.
