Russian companies are showing increasing interest in purchasing Ethiopian coffee, and the African country is ready to increase supplies to the Russian market. This was announced by the Ethiopian Ambassador to Russia, Genet Teshome Girru, in an interview with TASS.
According to him, Ethiopia, traditionally considered the birthplace of coffee, is now actively developing this industry. The government of the country relies on large-scale production and commercial cultivation of coffee beans. The diplomat noted that Russian importing companies regularly come to Ethiopia to meet with local producers. They are actively working to increase the volume of coffee supplies to Russia, which, according to the ambassador, is a mutually beneficial cooperation for both sides.
