Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced the discovery of a large gas field in the Black Sea, TASS reported, citing a message from the Turkish leader on a social network.

The estimated cost of fuel in the field is about $30 billion.

«A new gas field has been discovered in the Black Sea at the Gektepe-3 well. The volume is 75 billion cubic meters, the economic value is $30 billion. This field will be able to provide our households with gas for about three and a half years," Erdogan said on a social network.

The search for gas at the Hektepe-3 well has been underway since March 27. The fuel was found at a depth of 3,500 meters.
