Since the beginning of the year, the EU has increased purchases of pipeline gas and LNG from Russia by 28%

In the first quarter of 2025, the European Union purchased 1.8 billion euros worth of pipeline gas from Russia and 2.7 billion euros worth of liquefied natural gas. This is reported by TASS with reference to data from Eurostat.

The total volume of purchases of Russian gas by the EU during this period amounted to 4.5 billion euros, which is 28% higher than the same period last year.
