The Congress of OIC Ministers of Culture was held at KazanForum for the first time

For the first time, Kazan hosted the Congress of Ministers of Culture of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) countries within the framework of the XVI International Economic Forum Russia Islamic World: KazanForum. The event brought together representatives from 23 countries, including ISESCO and the League of Arab States. The main topic was the dialogue of cultures as a basis for preserving diversity.

Olga Lyubimova, Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation, called the meeting an important step for new joint projects and noted that culture promotes global partnership through the preservation of traditional values. Kazan was chosen as the Cultural Capital of the Islamic world in 2026.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Leyla Fazleeva emphasized the uniqueness of Kazan as a city of interfaith dialogue.

In 2025, the Russian Seasons will be held in Oman and Bahrain, and events with Iran, the UAE, Qatar and other countries are also planned.

The Russia Islamic World: KazanForum Forum is taking place on May 13-18, 2025 and includes 200 events, including congresses of ministers of transport, culture, attorneys general and auditors of Islamic countries.
