The start of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul is expected in the afternoon.

Negotiations between the Russian Federation and Ukraine on the settlement of the conflict are scheduled for May 15 in Istanbul. A Russian delegation led by Presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky has already arrived in Turkey.

According to RIA Novosti, citing its own source, the start of negotiations is expected after lunch.

The delegation also included Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin, Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin, and Chief of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Igor Kostyukov. The experts for negotiations with Ukraine included Zorin, First Deputy Head of the Information Department of the General Staff, Podobreyevsky, Deputy Head of the Presidential Department for State Policy in the Humanitarian Sphere, Polishchuk, Director of the Second CIS Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Shevtsov, Deputy Head of the Main Directorate for International Military Cooperation of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
