A Russian delegation has arrived in Turkey to negotiate a settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. The plane landed at Ataturk Airport in the early morning of May 15. This is reported by "Interfax" with reference to the aviation service.
Russia will be represented at the negotiations with Ukraine by Presidential Aide Vladimir Medinsky. He has been appointed head of the negotiating team. Earlier in 2022, he led a group of Russian negotiators in Istanbul.
The delegation also included Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin, Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin, and Chief of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Igor Kostyukov.
The experts for negotiations with Ukraine included: First Deputy Head of the Information Department of the General Staff Zorin, Deputy head of the Presidential Office for State Policy in the Humanitarian Sphere Podobreevskaya, Director of the Second Department of the CIS Countries of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Polishchuk, Deputy Head of the Main Directorate for International Military Cooperation of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation Shevtsov.
The composition of the delegation for negotiations with Ukraine has been approved by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
