The Ministry of Industry and Trade announced that work on the creation of a small Baikal aircraft is continuing. It is conducted taking into account previously received comments. This is reported with reference to the agency «Interfax»lt;/a>.

The ministry recalled that in early April 2025, a state contract was signed with UZGA to carry out development work on the creation of a regional aircraft with a domestic power plant.

The contractor must manufacture new and refine existing prototypes of the engine, propeller and aircraft LMS-901 (Baikal), carry out certification work, and prepare documentation for obtaining certificates.

Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Trutnev announced that the Baikal aircraft project was a href=https://business-magazine.online/fn_1663519.html" ;>closed.
