In the first quarter of 2025, the interest income of the European Depository Euroclear from investing blocked Russian assets amounted to 1.47 billion euros. Such data is provided by the organization in its financial report.

At the same time, Euroclear noted that revenue decreased by 7.5% year-on-year. The reason for this is lower interest rates. In the same period of 2024, interest income from frozen Russian assets amounted to 6.9 billion euros, in 2023 - 4.4 billion euros, in 2022 - 821 million euros.

Last year, Euroclear sent about 3.5 billion euros (from proceeds from frozen Russian assets) to the European Fund for Ukraine.
