Russia has become the second largest supplier of coal to Indonesia

In January-February 2025, Russia set a record for coal exports to Indonesia of 888.7 thousand tons worth $136.6 million. This is 12% more than in the same period last year, RIA Novosti reports.

Russia became the second largest supplier of coal to Indonesia after Australia, which supplied $271.2 million more. The United States took the third place with $100.8 million.

gt;Russia also supplied the historical maximum of fertilizers to Indonesia - 274 thousand tons. This is 2.2 times more than last year, and the amount of contracts increased 1.9 times to 89.9 million dollars. As a result, Russia took the second place among fertilizer exporters with a share of 19%. Canada became the leader, shipping 344 thousand tons worth 101.2 million dollars. China took the third place with 259.8 thousand tons and 64.8 million dollars.
