In January-February 2025, Russia set a record for coal exports to Indonesia of 888.7 thousand tons worth $136.6 million. This is 12% more than in the same period last year, RIA Novosti reports. 

Russia became the second largest supplier of coal to Indonesia after Australia, which supplied $271.2 million more. The United States took the third place with $100.8 million.

This is 2.2 times more than last year, and the amount of contracts increased 1.9 times to 89.9 million dollars. China took the third place with 259.8 thousand tons and 64.8 million dollars.
