In Russia, the production of alcoholic beverages (excluding beer, beer drinks, cider, poiret and mead) decreased by 26% year-on-year in the first four months of 2025. During this period, 46.58 million decaliters were produced, according to "a href="https://www.kommersant.ru/doc/7714201 ?tg">"Kommersant"/a>with reference to Rosalokoltabakkontrol data.

The most noticeable decrease in production is observed for low-alcohol products (-94.5%, up to 448.5 thousand dal) and fruit alcoholic beverages (-89.8%, up to 498.8 thousand dal). The production of alcoholic beverages with a strength of over 9% also decreased (-14.7%, to 28.71 million dal): cognac - by 22.7%, to 2.02 million dal, vodka - by 15.6%, to 19.14 million dal, alcoholic beverages - by 6%, to 5.1 million dal, other alcoholic beverages - by 16.8%, to 2.44 million gave it.

Production growth was recorded only for grape wine (+5.2%, to 11.6 million dal) and sparkling wines (+6.9%, to 4.8 million dal).

Market participants attribute this decrease to large inventories made by manufacturers at the end of last year amid expectations of an increase in the excise tax rate and minimum retail prices.
