The State Duma adopted the law on localization of taxi cars

The law establishes several requirements for the inclusion of cars in the taxi registry: the localization level must correspond to the level set by the Government of the Russian Federation for public procurement, the car must be produced under a special investment contract concluded between March 1, 2022 and March 1, 2025. At the same time, starting from January 1, 2033, only one criterion will apply for inclusion in the taxi registry - the number of localization points.

An exception was made for the Kaliningrad Region, Siberia and the Far East. These requirements for taxi cars will not apply there until March 1, 2028 (in the Kaliningrad Region and the Siberian Federal District) and until March 1, 2030 (in the Far Eastern Federal District).
