Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law ratifying the Comprehensive Strategic partnership agreement with Iran. The document has been officially published on the legal information portal.
The Agreement sets out the legal framework for long-term cooperation between Moscow and Tehran. Russia and Iran are becoming strategic partners in all areas, including defense, counterterrorism, finance, energy, industry, agriculture, transport, technology, science and culture.
The parties signed the relevant document in January 2025 during the visit of Iranian President Masoud Peseshkian to Moscow.
