The Ukrainian Armed Forces shot down an F-16 fighter jet with a pilot awarded three orders

On April 12, Ukrainian air defense crews shot down an F-16 fighter jet handed over to the Ukrainian Armed Forces by the Western allies, the Telegram channel "Military Observer" informs.

The plane was flown by 26-year-old pilot Pavel Ivanov. He previously flew the Su-25 and was awarded three orders. A serviceman of the Ukrainian Air Force was killed.

The commission is investigating the causes of the incident. It is known that the fighter was shot down several times. Three missiles were fired at the aircraft.
