In the coming decade, 8.4 trillion rubles will be allocated in Russia for the construction of new ships and naval vessels. These figures were announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting on the development strategy of the Navy.
"These funds should be taken into account when forming the state armament program. This is a matter of principle, these funds are provided, but it will depend on the Navy development program itself," Putin said.
He also stressed the need to objectively assess the capabilities of the shipbuilding, instrument, machine tool and other related industries, as well as the full implementation of all instructions given at the meeting regarding the development of the shipbuilding industry. Special attention should be paid to the regulation of pricing issues in this industry, the development of domestic production of equipment and components.
