The management of the Russian Environmental Operator (REO) has changed. Denis Butsaev, who has been in charge of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment since 2019, will take up the post of deputy head of the department.

Irina Tarasova from the Ministry of Agriculture (Director of the Administrative Department) takes his place as REO. The corresponding personnel changes were approved by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

    The Russian environmental operator for the formation of an integrated solid municipal waste management system was established in 2019 by presidential decree. The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment is the sole shareholder of REO.
