The Cabinet of Ministers approved the creation of three new SEZs in the Moscow, Vologda and Novosibirsk regions.

Three new special economic zones will be created in Russia, where investors will implement projects significant for the development of the domestic economy on preferential terms. The relevant resolutions on their creation were signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

In particular, new industrial-type special economic zones will appear in the Moscow region (on the territory of the Serpukhov urban district), in the Vologda and Novosibirsk regions.It is expected that 7 investment projects with a total investment volume of over 8 billion rubles will be implemented in the territory of the Bolshoy Serpukhov SEZ with the creation of about 900 new jobs. It will organize the production of medicines, the production of domestic equipment for DNA research, the production of systems for disinfection and sterilization of medical devices, autonomous fire extinguishing devices.

Vologda SEZ residents will be 6 companies, including manufacturers of house kits and building materials, furniture, bearings, low-pressure amalgam lamps, and metallurgical production. The volume of investments will exceed 8.7 billion rubles. About 800 new jobs are expected to be created.
5 companies will become residents of Novosibirsk SEZ. Among the planned projects: the production of electrical equipment, paving slabs, the construction of two transport and logistics centers and a waste-free sawmill line. The volume of investments is planned to exceed 9.2 billion rubles. Over 700 new jobs will be created.
