Social pensions to grow by 14.75% from April

The Government of the Russian Federation has indexed social pensions in accordance with the growth rate of the subsistence minimum for pensioners in 2024. Starting from April 1, 2025, the amount of the payment will increase by 14.75%.

This measure will affect people with disabilities who have lost their breadwinner and have no work experience.

The amount of state pension provision for certain categories of citizens will also increase by 14.75% from April 1. We are talking about military personnel who served on conscription; participants in the Great Patriotic War; citizens awarded the badges of "Resident of besieged Leningrad", "Resident of besieged Sevastopol" and "Resident of besieged Stalingrad" pilots- testers and cosmonauts; citizens affected by radiation or man-made disasters and their family members.

In total, the indexation of social pensions will affect about 4.2 million people. For this purpose, 85 billion rubles have been allocated in the budget of the Social Fund.
