Ruben Aganbegyan, former president of Otkritie Bank, has been declared bankrupt. This decision was made by the Moscow Arbitration Court. An implementation procedure has been launched for the Aganbegyan property.

Earlier (in July 2024), the non-core assets bank Trust filed for bankruptcy with Aganbegyan. According to the plaintiff, the entrepreneur will evade the terms of the concluded agreement in the case of recovery of 289.5 billion rubles in damages from former top managers of FC Otkritie.

The plaintiff demanded that Aganbegyan cover the losses due to assets hidden abroad, including real estate in New York, bank accounts in the USA, Armenia and Latvia. These requirements have not yet been met.
