Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov summed up the work for 2024, noting the significant growth of the Russian economy by 4.1%. Growth has been achieved through government procurement, increased household incomes and investments, as well as through labor market flexibility and increased productivity.

Reshetnikov noted technological development and the removal of infrastructural restrictions for the development of the labor market.

"Foreign economic activity is expanding, and ties with African countries, the EAEU and BRICS are strengthening," the head of the department said.

Support for small and medium-sized businesses will also be continued, according to the minister. Among the tasks for the current year are the reforms of state statistics and the OKVED to improve data quality and reduce the reporting burden on businesses.
