FSB officers uncovered the Islamist cell and prevented their planned terrorist attack. This was reported by the press service of the department.

According to the FSB, the members of the cell of the international terrorist organization were citizens of one of the Central Asian countries. They planned to detonate an explosive device at a railway station in Pskov, after which they fled to one of the countries of the Middle East.

The terrorists put up armed resistance during their arrest, as a result of which they were neutralized by the return fire of the FSB officers.
