The former head of the military representative office of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation is suspected of fraud in the execution of the state defense order. This is reported by the Federal Security Service for the Rostov region.

According to the security forces, the official agreed on a multiple increase in the price of products manufactured in the interests of government customers. We are talking about bearing products manufactured, among other things, at the Rostov enterprise "10 GPP".

According to the agency, the ex-head of the military representative office of the Ministry of Defense came to the attention of the security forces during the investigative actions carried out against officials of the 10 GPP, as part of a previously initiated criminal case on fraud, on the fact of embezzlement of funds on a large scale. The amount of damage in one of the episodes was 811 million rubles.

The suspect was taken into custody. He is charged with fraud and receiving a bribe.
