By April 1, 2025, all regions must provide housing for veterans of the Great Patriotic War. Such an instruction was given at a meeting in the Ministry of Construction, dedicated to the reconciliation of the lists of those in need and the current status of the implementation of the right to housing for WWII veterans.

- Before April 1, all veterans must be provided with housing, postponements to the right are unacceptable. This is a very important issue for our country, we have no right to bureaucratize the process. I ask you to assist them at every level and stage, to help them manually," said Nikita Stasishin, Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services.

It was noted that funds from the federal budget allocated to provide housing for needy WWII veterans have already been brought to the regions in full.

The regional authorities have been instructed to strictly monitor the timing of providing housing for veterans, and when new applications from veterans are received, they are promptly registered in the register of those in need.
