The government has established a center for the development of mRNA technologies to develop innovative medicines, including drugs for the treatment of cancer.

The association includes 17 scientific organizations, including the National Medical Research Center of Radiology and Oncology named after N.N. Blokhin, I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University and the Federal Scientific Center named after M.P. Chumakov. The National Research Center of Epidemiology and Microbiology named after N.F. Gamaleya will become the parent organization.

The Center will develop and manufacture innovative drugs based on mRNA technologies for the treatment and prevention of various diseases.

600 million rubles have been allocated for the purchase of equipment on behalf of the president.
