The banks are asking the Russian government to allocate about 2 billion rubles annually to cover losses related to the Far Eastern Mortgage program. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative in the Far Eastern Federal District, Yuri Trutnev, in an interview with Rossiya-24 TV channel.

Trutnev stressed that the amount of necessary financial support will be determined in the next two weeks. "I informed Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin about this, who instructed the Ministry of Finance to start working with banks. As a result, the amount of funds that the government must provide to banks to fulfill the task set by the president will be clarified. I think two weeks will be enough to complete this work," he explained.
