The structures of the Argocomplex, owned by the former governor of the Krasnodar Territory, Alexander Tkachev, plan to acquire the business of the former deputy chairman of the government of the Belgorod Region, Gennady Bobritsky, the Prioskolye company. This is reported by Kommersant with reference to a source on the market.

The details of the negotiations, the terms and the amount of the transaction are not known. According to market participants, the value of the holding company "At the moment" may amount to about 50 billion rubles. However, it is possible that the business may leave at a significant discount due to its proximity to the area of active hostilities.

If the deal is completed, the Argocomplex will grow to include four poultry meat processing plants and 16 feedlots. By the end of 2023, Prioskolye ranked third among Russian producers in terms of production of broiler meat. The market leaders were Resurs and Cherkizovo Group of Companies. Agrocomplex was in the fourth position, after Prioskol. In case of acquisition of a new asset, the Agrocomplex will strengthen its position and take the third place.

However, the deal may be slowed down by the fact that the head of the Prioskolye holding, Gennady Bobritsky, is wanted. In 2023, he escaped from law enforcement after he was released from jail under house arrest as part of a criminal fraud investigation.
