In Russia, the requirements for product quality will be tightened

In the first reading, the State Duma adopted a bill aimed at protecting consumer rights, as well as improving product quality.

In particular, the deputies plan to tighten the requirements to the standards of organizations and technical specifications (SRT /TU), in accordance with which consumer goods and food are produced. With the adoption of the relevant provision of the law, the SRT and TU will become transparent and understandable as GOST.

The manufacturer will have to indicate that his products comply with a particular standard, and this standard must be officially registered.

It is planned to create a unified state standards fund, which will prevent counterfeit and low-quality products from entering the market.
