In Russia, the average salary has increased 1.8 times over the past five years. This is reported by TASS with reference to Rosstat data.

According to data for the third quarter of 2024 (there are no statistics for the whole of 2024 yet), the average salary in the country has reached 84 thousand rubles. For comparison, for the same period of 2019, it amounted to 46 thousand rubles (48 thousand rubles for the whole of 2019). Analysts do not rule out that by the end of 2024, taking into account the December payments, the average salary in the country will increase.

The inflation rate has been above the 4% target for five years. In 2020, it was at the level of 4.9% (year-on-year), in 2022 - 11.94%, in 2024 - 9.52%. It is noted that in 2024, the salaries of Russians in real terms (minus inflation) increased by 9%.

In five years, the GDP of the Russian Federation in absolute terms has grown from 110 to 196 trillion rubles (preliminary estimate for 2024). In real terms, adjusted for inflation, growth is slower. The average annual economic growth for 2019-2024 is 1.9%, while in 2012-2019 the average annual growth was at the level of 1.4%.>

Unemployment has decreased from 4.6% to 2.3% during this time.
