Supplies of Russian petroleum products to India decreased by almost 12 times

In October 2024, the supply of Russian petroleum products to India decreased by almost 12 times compared to October 2023, amounting to $61.2 million. This is the lowest level since July last year. Light distillates accounted for the majority of imports — $60.1 million/p>

Russia dropped to fourth place among suppliers, losing the leadership to the UAE, Singapore and South Korea. In the first ten months of last year, India purchased $1.97 billion worth of petroleum products from Russia, which is 2.1 times less than a year earlier.
