The Kazakh authorities have limited the validity period of local payment cards for non-residents. This is reported by RBC.

According to the new rules, the validity period of Kazakhstan cards for citizens of other countries will not exceed 1 year. This requirement will not apply to already issued cards, diplomats, investors and businessmen.

This decision was explained by the need to reduce the risks of using banking services in the field of illicit trafficking in digital assets.
