Russia and Vietnam have significant opportunities to strengthen cooperation in the field of nuclear energy. This was stated by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin during talks with his Vietnamese counterpart Pham Minh Chin in Hanoi.

He stressed that cooperation in the field of energy plays an "important strategic role."

Mishustin recalled that the Vietsovpetro joint venture operates in the oil and gas fields of Vietnam, and the Rusvietpetro project is developing in the Nenets Autonomous District of Russia.
