In a year, the United States tripled its chocolate imports from Russia

The United States of America has tripled the import of chocolate from Russia, RIA Novosti informs, citing data from the American statistical service.

In 11 months of 2024, Americans purchased cocoa and products from it for $2.48 million. The volume of purchases was the highest since 2021. In November 2024, the United States imported cocoa from Russia for 389 thousand dollars, which is the highest since January 2022.

Chocolate and other finished cocoa products account for the majority of imports.
