Kuban regions polluted with fuel oil may lose the tourist season - expert

Areas of the Krasnodar Territory, where the coast is polluted with fuel oil after the tanker crash, may lose the upcoming tourist season. This opinion was voiced in an interview with TASS by Viktor Danilov-Danilyan, Chairman of the Scientific and Expert Council of the All-Russian Society for Nature Conservation, scientific director of the Institute of Water Problems.

So, the expert stated that it is difficult to fully assess what happened now. He recalled that after the emergency in 2007, ecosystems had been recovering for 15 years. The expert was skeptical about the statements that everything would be in order in the Kuban by spring.
