Migrants in Russia may be banned from changing their employer

The Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation has taken the initiative to ban migrants from leaving one employer for another. This is reported by the publication «Izvestia» with reference to the prepared document.

In particular, the agency proposes to reflect information about the employer in patents for foreigners. This should eliminate staff turnover and strengthen control over migrants.

In the construction sector, this procedure is planned to be established in the second quarter of 2025, and later it may be extended to other areas.
