The Russian Federation will update the list of goods for parallel import

Next year, the Ministry of Industry and Trade plans to update the list of goods allowed to be imported into the Russian Federation by parallel import. This was reported by TASS with reference to the head of the department Anton Alikhanov.

The list is planned to be updated in the first quarter of 2025. We are talking about reducing a number of positions. According to Alikhanov, the trend towards reducing parallel imports has been traced for a long time, the monthly volume of imported products decreased from 4 to 3 billion dollars, in particular in such segments as clothing, footwear and electronics, which is associated with the development of domestic production.

He recalled that the parallel import tool was introduced to overcome sanctions pressure. The need for it is gradually disappearing against the background of the substitution of in-demand products with goods from our own production or from friendly countries.
