FAS: The increase in gasoline and diesel fuel prices does not exceed the inflation rate

In Russia, the increase in gasoline and diesel fuel prices does not exceed the inflation rate. This conclusion was reached by FAS experts who analyzed data from 12,000 gas stations, TASS reports.

In total, the FAS is currently considering 11 antimonopoly cases on unjustified fuel price increases. Over the past two years, the agency has initiated 30 antimonopoly cases related to the fuel market.

According to Rosstat, from January to early December 2024, gasoline prices rose by 10.65%, which is 1.51 percentage points higher than the inflation rate.
