Prices of consumer goods in the Russian Federation grew faster in November than a month earlier - Central Bank

In November 2024, consumer prices increased by 1.43%, which is significantly more than in October, when the increase was only 0.75%. Adjusted for seasonal fluctuations in annual terms, the price increase in November reached 13.7%. For comparison, this figure was 8.5% in October, 11.3% in the third quarter, 8.9% in the second quarter, and 5.9% in the first quarter.

Annual inflation accelerated to 8.88%, while core inflation increased to 8.28%.> The main contribution to the price increase was made by fruit and vegetable products and mobile communication services. The weakening of the ruble has also become an additional factor in accelerating inflation.

The Bank of Russia plans to return inflation to the target level of 4% in 2026.
