Russian airlines transported more than 95 million passengers in 10 months of 2024, Russian Transport Minister Roman Starovoit said in an interview with Russia-24 TV channel.
“In aviation, we observe that over 95 million passengers have been transported in 10 months. This corresponds to the level of last year. That is, we can say that aviation mobility remains at a high level," he noted.
Starovoit also stressed that support for subsidies for all programs aimed at supporting passengers from the regions of the Far East, Siberia and Kaliningrad will continue.Recall that during the summer period from May to August, Russian airlines transported about 70 million passengers, which is less than last year. The reduction in the volume of traffic is reflected in the prices of these same shipments. Thus, the cost of a one-way ticket averaged 16,199 rubles, compared to 13,300 rubles last year. On average, domestic air transportation, according to Rosstat, has risen in price by 29%. In some areas, the price increase reaches 50-60%.
