Russia can increase the production of UAVs five times ahead of the plan set for 2030. Denis Manturov, the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, shared such expectations with President Vladimir Putin.
He noted that the national project "Unmanned aircraft Systems, launched since January this year, demonstrates a good pace of technology development, therefore, it will be possible to reach the level of independence of 70% not by 2030, but earlier. He noted that domestic companies have already started producing engines, electrical components and controllers. According to him, priority issues today are the provision of manufacturers with domestic components, as well as the development of a regulatory framework for the operation of unmanned aircraft systems.
