State Duma deputies in the first reading unanimously supported the bill on special accounts for foreign agents. According to the press service of the State Duma, 429 deputies became its co-authors.
According to the bill, citizens included in the register of foreign agents will have to open a single special account to receive royalties and royalties for the results of intellectual activity and brands. At the same time, they will not be able to dispose of these funds until the status of foreign agents is removed from them. Thus, these funds will not be used against Russia. In addition, in certain cases, funds from accounts can be transferred to state revenue. This will be determined by the court. It was noted that 493 people have been registered in the register of foreign agents to date.
